Here’s what’s happening in and around
The Boathouse Design Studio.
Following easing of the lockdown restrictions The Flying Cloud Cafe has now reopened for the summer season and will try and open every day from 9.30am – 4.30pm, (weather dependent) until the end of October. As ever they are serving excellent tea and coffee, ice cream and delicious homemade cakes. Follow the Flying Cloud on Twitter for updates @flying_cafe If they can’t open they will let you know!
Amaze Property and the Boathouse Design Studio have achieved Green Small Business Award certification. We have worked hard to be as green a business as possible and we are always looking at ways to further improve our environmental credentials so it is great for this to be formally recognised.
The Boathouse Table Tennis mixed double tournament reached its climax in May. Congratulations go to Richard Broome and Bianka Schneider (respectively Managing & Creative Director and Associate at Outerspace Urban Design www.outerspaceuk.com) who led their team Richanka to victory in the final.
On Fridays co-workers at the Boathouse take turns cooking for everyone else. This winter we enjoyed some delicious home cooked (or Boathouse cooked) lunches ranging from haggis to sushi. Respect goes to the chefs who have happily rustled up enough to feed more than thirty hungry Boathousers. Several generous cooks also donated all of the proceeds from their meal to the RNLI. Boathouse Friday Lunch is currently on hold due to Covid19 restrictions, but we look forward to getting it back up and running!
